Hello Everyone! Happy to say that we were able to help 2 more people make their first covenants these last two weeks! Mário and Rafael have both been baptized, and I'm super happy for them! I've really enjoyed teaching them, and they have such great faith in God's love. These last two weeks have been a hard push to grow our teaching pool. Fortunately, we have a ton of resources and ways to meet tons of new people interested in learning more about Christ! Unfortunately, that interest tends to last for only one visit, but we have found some truly prepared people these last two weeks! Arsénio (he's Mário's uncle, the one that we baptized, but is younger so they say they're cousins) has been studying the Book of Mormon like crazy and came to us and said he wants to be baptized! Hello Everyone! Transfers were last week, and with them came a whole bunch of fun stuff. I've got a new companion, someone I actually already knew from Huambo. My MTC companion, Elder Wright, is in my district, and I'm now the district leader! It's a bit weird because I feel like I left the MTC just a month ago, but suddenly, I'm in charge of leading and caring for the district! It's actually more work than I thought: planning exchanges, giving trainings, and leading district council. But I've also really enjoyed this first week and will keep doing what I can to help our district grow. Unfortunately, all of our baptisms last Saturday fell through, but we did have baptisms the week before that I didn't have the chance to write about. We'll keep pushing and doing our very best to help people learn more and make these important covenants.
